
Emi Livingston is a costume designer from Troy, New York. She is currently on track to complete a BFA in Costume Design and Production at Boston University School of Theatre by May 2027. Her design work centers on creating grounded, character-focused costumes with an interest in subtle eccentricity and other-worldly elements.
Her recent credits include Thumbprint (Costume Designer) and The Skriker (Costume Designer) at Boston University. Emi has also contributed to a range of productions as a first hand, draper, and wardrobe crew member, including Julius Caesar, Florencia en el Amazonas, The Rink, and Emilia. These roles have strengthened her technical skills in draping, flat-pattern drafting, industrial sewing, millinery, and wardrobe management.
Emi’s process emphasizes research, collaboration, and clear communication across creative and production teams. She aims to build a career grounded in thoughtful, intentional costume design for both theatre and film.
